Every student gives SEE but after SEE students are lost and don’t know what to do. After all, there are a lot of choices after SEE that can make you confused. But don’t worry, I will give you detailed information on what courses are available and what is right for you.

In our fathers and grandfathers age SLC was one of the toughest to complete and after completing there were a lot of prospects for jobs but the times have changed, SLC has become SEE and our journey doesn’t end at SEE but only begins. So what do you do after SEE??

First of all, you should think about what you want to become in the future. After that, this guide will help you decide what to do. So let’s begin.

You have three options to choose here in Nepal, and they are:-

1.NEB

NEB refers to National education board, which is commonly called +2. NEB is an intermediate study which has three fields, namely Science, Management and Humanities.

Let me give you the basics of each field.

  • Science

This is a two years course where you study science as your primary. Students who are aspiring to become future doctors, engineers, researchers, scientists, etc. are welcome to this community. +2 Science is the platform, where you begin your journey from.

Class XI:

  • Physics

  • Maths
  • Biology/computer science
  • English

Class XII:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Maths/Biology
  • English
  • Nepali
  • Computer science (Opt)

Future Prospects of this field include the following degrees:

  1. MBBS
  2. Engineering
  3. Paramedical
  4. Bsc
  5. IT
  6. Can enter in any area of study if studied +2 in science

2. Management

Students who are interested in business, commerce, accounts & management can find it ideal for further studies. If managing accounts are something of your interest, +2 trade is definitely for you. Management students can have a strong knowledge of business and accounts.

The students can become banker, manager, Chartered Accountant, Accountant, Business consultant, etc. after further studies.

3.Humanities or Education

This course is ideal for those students who find literature, social work, philanthropy, teaching, etc. enjoyable. This course is for people who are more into sociology and art.

After completing additional courses, students can become Teacher, Lecturer, Philanthropist, Social Worker, Journalist, Lawyer, INGO/ NGO worker, Political Advisor, etc.

2. A level

Recognized by Cambridge University, A-level is a 2-year program after SEE, combined with AS curriculum that grooms your knowledge, skills & educations in the respective niche of your choice.

You can choose from Science, management or arts with numerous elective subjects. If you want an international degree in Nepal, then this is one of the best choices. Although this can be more expensive to study.

3.Diploma Level of Education

You can go for three years diploma to get higher education in a specific niche if you don’t want to consider +2 and gain university-level knowledge.

Apart from various technical & specialized diploma programs organized by different institutes, Diploma in Engineering is one of the most important three years programs after SEE in Nepal.

There are various branches in which you can study a diploma in engineering in Nepal, such as:

  • Civil
  • Mechanical
  • Computer
  • Electronics
  • Electricals
  • Architecture

These diplomas are run by several institutes, including CTEVT, which is recognized by the government.
