After the completion of the first year (aka grade XI) the students get to the second year (grade XII) as soon as the board exam is over. And in case someone fails s/he shall appear for the supplementary exams within a few months if s/he has failed in up to two subjects but if the examinee fails in more than two subjects s/he will be required to reappear in the exam the next year. Grade XII also being the part of the two-year high school, has three faculties as well.
